We've Got A Man Cold Over Here!

Sarah and Greg are sick.

Sarah went to school yesterday because she was determined to get lunch at the park for raising more than $50 for Jump Rope For Heart.  Our PE teacher made a giant taco spread and the kids got an extra hour of recess and got to eat in the park by our school.  It was so much fun for them.

When I pulled up to the park, Sarah was laying on the ground.

Needless to say, I took her back to the school, checked her out, and brought her home.  She had a 101 temp.

Greg showed up several hours later, sick as a dog.  He was huddled under a blanket in his gawd-awful recliner, shaking.  He said he was dying.  I took his temp.

98.3.

At that point, I was ready to take him off life support if I had to.

MAN COLD!

Then he had to go get his younger brother from the airport at 10:30 last night.  His younger brother, Mark, is here from Michigan for the next week.

Mark swears on his life that the only time he ever gets sick is when he's around us.  He says he NEVER gets sick unless he's visiting us.

I wouldn't want to turn him into a liar, so there you have it.

Oh, poor Sarah!! I understand how she feels. I always seem to get sick when the best stuff is coming up.

I saw that video a year or so ago and "poor little bunny" has become a catch phrase among some of my friends! LOL! We even found an emoticon for it for a message board. :)

I hope BOTH of your sick babies get better quickly.

Paul is more a martyr than a whiner when he's sick..."I have such a headache."

"Have you taken some Tylenol? Aleve?"

"Nah...I'll take some if it's not gone in an hour or so. Man, my head hurts."

Drives me crazy - just take the medicine already!!!!

Mark had a nasty head cold about six weeks ago...does that qualify as being sick?

peacefrog...in my house a papercut can turn into a life threatening illness. So I would say yes, a head cold is definitely 'sick' in a man's world. Over here a head cold would require hospitalization.

Michelle,
We are leaving for Vegas tonight and have been volunteered to choose a place to take some friends for their anniversary dinner. Where do you suggest? By the way- schools in Utah have started that stupid math crap and I am a bit more than irritated with it. Let me know if you find a way out of it. =)

Except I have to take care of the poor little bunny, 5 (for real) sick kids and the chickens. Even if I'm half dead. They all still need food and water. And I'm always IT. I think someone else should be IT sometimes. I'm strictly against man bashing, but this is a universal truth.

My kids have the cough/fever special going around gracas a bounce house birthday party last Saturday. Thanks for the invite cuz. Price of admission: presents for the birthday boy and a week of the crud. Pretty steep.

Sign me up as another one with a Man Cold-getting husband.

I could be sick with bronchitis or the flu for weeks and still have to function, but if Mike is feeling "a bit tired," he gets to lounge on the couch in his PJ bottoms all day. I told him a few days ago (I'm currently sick) that I wish I could go back to my childhood because that was the last time I've had someone take care of ME!
